The following programs are donated to the public domain. The main
purpose in providing these utilities is to encourage new "would be"
programmers to want to obtain the source code as outlined in the
file SOURCE.INC. A very bright guy named Dave Visti has provided a
dynamite BASIC compiler for the unheard of price of $10 bucks. His
compiler, ASIC20.ZIP and our SOURCE.INC are on EXECPC. All of these
programs were created using Dave's Basic compiler. If you have never
compiled a program before you CAN now. All you need is Dave's nifty
little compiler and OUR source code for these utilities. Sure, you
can just keep the goods (and believe me these are some very useful
tools) or you can order the SOURCE CODE and not only see how it was
done, but in no time at all make your own modifications and custom
versions! No, you wont suddenly get rich writing shareware, but you
will learn how easy it is to program in Basic AND how "nice it is"
to be able to do things for yourself in the process!
Examine this list of nifty programs, after all, they now belong to you!
CAP COM Toggle CAP lock on or off
NUM COM Toggle NUM lock on or off
CHKPRN COM Test if LPT1 is on line
DB COM Small FreeForm DataBase File
ET COM Drop to Dos, run application, EXIT and chk elasped time
FAST COM Software switch to run Turbo Mode on XT
SLOW COM Software switch to return to Normal Mode on XT
MEMORY COM Check amount of XT system memory
*MINIBBS COM Sample of small BBS program
*MINITERM COM Interupt Driven Terminal Program
*PBITEST COM Test Status of Modem Registers
*POLLTERM COM Terminal Program using "Polling"
SNAPC COM Take "Snapshot" of current display screen
SHOWC COM Re-Display snapshot taken with SnapC utility

TIMER COM Another utility to time events
WAIT COM Utility to manually set a time delay of X seconds
*NOTE: All programs that access the serial port are set for COM1
using N81, 2400baud. This is VERY EASY to alter with the
source code we provide and Dave Visti's compiler!
We purposly omited a lot of explanation on these utilities
in order to incourage you to play with them and because we
are confident you may have seen similar utilities before!
Now, if your interest hasent been perked yet, drop the file and go
back to the boob tube.....there is NO programming blood flowing in
your veins. But, if your still reading this offer to obtain the
SOURCE code for the utilities and programs above, you wont be
disappointed in our next statement. NOTHING in this list cost more
than $3 BUCKS! and the WHOLE BUNCH can be had for only Ten Dollars!
Whats more, if you respond to this offer before March 31st, 1991
WE PAY ALL SHIPPING and HANDLING charges for "FIRST CLASS" MAIL
DELIVERY!
Think of the time you are going to save!
Think of the knowledge you are going to gain!
Think of the fun and pleasure of programming yourself!
Yes Gary, I want to begin learning with SSC source code now!
Send ALL the Basic Source Code as indicated above, IMMEDIATELY
and save me a few extra bucks for shipping!
(order must be sent before March 31st, 1991 to save shipping fees,

connected with [S] [S] [C] Inc. SSC does however strongly endorse,
and recommend that you try, and register, the ASIC Compiler.
